The sleeper pull out probably would fit an actual 18 month old. The bag section has plenty of room for baby's items too. I posted a picture on my 4 year old to show size(his entire bottom half fits in he wears a 4t). It opens and snaps together easily. I only gave it a 4 star because it didnt come with instructions and I had to sift through youtube videos to figure out how to close the sleeper.
