We consulted a professional water restoration company, and they recommended getting a dehumidifier to reduce the moisture. Initially, I was considering the AprilAire brand, but the price difference of nearly $300 made me give this unit a try. After using it for two weeks, I am pleased with its performance. One of the things we have noticed is its efficiency. Within a few days of running it, our thermometer showed a significant reduction in moisture levels. The basement smell also improved significantly, and the unit consistently extracted a couple of gallons of water every few days. Additionally, the dehumidifier operates quietly, which is an important factor to consider. Even during quiet nights, I can barely hear any noise from it. After a few weeks, I reached out to customer service and purchased a separate remote controller for added convenience. This remote control allows me to control the dehumidifier from a distance without having to physically go to the unit. In summary, I am highly satisfied with this dehumidifier.
