Crafted from eco-friendly PVC and hand-painted, it includes an A3 poster, a 64-page manual, and 9 QR video lessons, making it an educational and stylish collectible for teens and adult dinosaur enthusiasts. ## Description Meet Essien the Spinosaurus, PNSO's Growth Companion Series reconstruction of one of the most distinctive predatory dinosaurs. The model measures 9.1 x 3.1 x 3.9 inches (23 x 8 x 9.8 cm) and presents Spinosaurus as a 15-meter semi-aquatic fish hunter with a long crocodile-like skull, high sail, strong forelimbs, shorter hind limbs, and webbed feet. PNSO's sculpting focuses on the features that make Spinosaurus different from a typical land predator: sensory pits around the snout, cone-shaped teeth for gripping slippery prey, an interlocking jaw structure, and a sail that may have helped stabilize the animal in water. Solid PVC and hand-painted natural colors give Essien a detailed display presence for a shelf, desk, or prehistoric animal collection. The set includes the Essien model, an A3 science-art poster, a 64-page product manual, and QR codes linking to online video lessons (internet required) that connect the model with scientific art and paleontology learning. Designed for teens 15+ and adult collectors. Review: PNSO at its finest. - The pose and the level of detail on this figure is absolutely stunning and for those who are still trying to make up their mind —mind you, it looks far lot better than those YouTube videos. PNSO is great at nailing technical accuracy and general aesthetic of its figure. I have so far ordered three PNSO figures and all three blew dang socks off me. RECOMMENDED. Review: More please..... - So, I had made several attempts, through eBay, to purchase this and other PNSO products. Every last one of them never arrived and culminated in eBay having to refund me. I was despondent and had decided to not bother even though one Dino blogger pushed me to desertcart. I figured the worst that could happen was, once again, someone uses me for a quick cash grab and I have to go through another refund process. My desertcart vendor came through! As pleased as I was that the figure actually arrived, I was astounded at the size and accuracy of detail on this Ceratosaurus. I’ve got nothing else that comes close. The suggested skeletal structure, obvious muscle groups, scale, tooth and extremity details really bring this guy to life. The overall color scheme may differ from promo photos but I have no complaints. The final take away on the figures color scheme is the realistic way in which dust seems to have settled within the scale structure implying an animal traveling/stalking/chasing through a dry environment. Not certain about the bend in the tail-I was under the impression that theropod tails had some mobility but not certain about the degree of motion implied by this figure. Regardless, it gives the suggestion of a very action packed moment in this animals life. The stand is my only disappointment. And, man, it’s awful. I’ll be creating my own with appropriate dry surroundings and maybe some heat distressed vegetation. I would suggest going to YouTube and check out lauralegends or dinodragons review of this guy. I can not recommend this figure highly enough. They seem to be drying up or going up in pricing. Definitely shop around for the best price but be wary of huckster vendors on eBay. ## Features - Meet Essien the Spinosaurus, a 9.1-inch PNSO Prehistoric Animal Models display model reconstructed as a 15-meter semi-aquatic predator. - The long crocodile-like skull, sensory pits, cone-shaped teeth, and interlocking jaws show the fish-hunting features that set Spinosaurus apart. - The tall back sail, strong forelimbs, shorter hind limbs, and webbed feet reflect PNSO's modern view of Spinosaurus as a water-adapted dinosaur. - Made with solid PVC and hand-painted natural colors, with textured skin, detailed scales, teeth, claws, and a shelf-ready open-mouth pose. - Includes the Essien model, A3 science-art poster, 64-page manual, and QR codes linking to online video lessons (internet required) for teens 15+ and adult collectors. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B08MYFPWDL | | Additional Features | Eco Friendly | | Age Range Description | Kid | | Animal Theme | Dinosaur | | Are Batteries Required | No | | Battery Types | No batteries required | | Best Sellers Rank | #186,223 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #408 in Kids' Play Dinosaur & Prehistoric Creature Figures | | Brand | PNSO | | Collection Name | PNSO Prehistoric Dinosaur Models | | Colour | 35 Essien the Spinosaurus | | Country of Origin | USA | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 1,016 Reviews | | Educational Objective | Learning about prehistoric animals and their features | | Included Components | Essien model, A3 poster, 64-page manual | | Is Assembly Required | No | | Is Autographed | No | | Item Dimensions | 30.5 x 20.3 x 15.2 Centimeters | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 23L x 8W x 9.8H Centimeters | | Item Highlight | 9.1" Spinosaurus Display Model, Semi-Aquatic Fish Hunter, High Sail, 64-Page Manual + A3 Poster, 15+ | | Item Type Name | PNSO Prehistoric Dinosaur Models | | Item Weight | 0.36 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | PNSO | | Manufacturer Part Number | PNSO | | Manufacturer recommended age | 3 years and up | | Material | Plastic | | Model Name | Dinosaur | | Model Number | PNSO28020102035ZH | | Model Series | PNSO Prehistoric Animal Models | | Number Of Pieces | 1 | | Outer Material Type | Plastic | | Play Activity Location | Floor | | Size | 3.85 Inch | | Style Name | Modern | | Sub Brand | PNSO Prehistoric Dinosaur Models | | Theme | Animal | | Toy Figure Type | Miniature Figure | | character | Essien the Spinosaurus | ## Images ![PNSO Prehistoric Dinosaur Models: 35 Essien the Spinosaurus - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51tG3qnNTKL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can the mouth open and close?** A: Yes. Essien's jaw opens and closes. **Q: Does the model come with a display support?** A: No display support is included. The set contains the model, an A3 poster and a 64-page manual. **Q: What does the manual cover?** A: 64 pages: Essien tells its own story as a fish hunter, the fossil finds behind this reconstruction, and an 8-step drawing lesson that builds Spinosaurus from the head to the finished colors. **Q: Will every model have the same paint finish?** A: The model is hand-painted, so small variations in the finish may occur. **Q: Why is Essien shown as a swimmer?** A: PNSO reconstructs Spinosaurus as a fish hunter that spent much of its time in water: a crocodile-like head, conical teeth, a notch in the jaw, strong forelimbs, short hind limbs, webbed toes and a long, flat tail. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ PNSO at its finest. *by S***B on 19 July 2026* The pose and the level of detail on this figure is absolutely stunning and for those who are still trying to make up their mind —mind you, it looks far lot better than those YouTube videos.
