I like to jump on my bed so i am also pleased with the bottom wooden part for not being too tall and in the way especially since I have a senior dog. All in all I really enjoy this bed frame. Surprisingly sturdy and well made. If it had one flaw I'd say the headboard doesn't go down far enough so unless you have a good 28cm+ thick mattress you're pillows are going to start wandering off through the gap but for the price it's a really decent bed frame.
