Let e.g. Blu-ray players, audio amplifiers and satellite receivers in the TV cabinet disappear. Only the small IR eye receiver (about 2 x 2 x 2.5 cm) is visible. Place the IR eye within sight of the remote controls. Now attach the 4 IR transmitter diodes. These must point to the front of the device to be controlled and placed close to their infrared receiver window. Insert the USB plug into a USB device socket to power the system. This saves energy and space, no additional power source is needed. Or use a standard 5V USB power adapter (not included). The control commands of the original remote controls are now received and forwarded via the 3 m cable to all 4 transmitter diodes. The IR eye flashes discreetly when a signal is received. You can attach the IR eye and transmitter diodes with the supplied adhesive pads. Infrared frequencies of 30 - 60 kHz are supported. The range of the IR eye is about 5 m at an angle of 30 °. Some devices have only a small reception area for the remote control. So you have to "aim" very well. This problem is also solved by the IR extender. If you have placed your home electronics in the middle of the room, you can also control them from another direction with the IR extender: The commands from the remote control are then routed via cables to the front of the devices.
