It as a bit touchy to get the exact focus, but easy in good light. Maybe I should have gone for the monarch 5, but budget wise, the P3 makes sense. Good enough, and quite exciting to see good detail nearby. It's close-up range is great, which is why I bought it, my near garden out of the window.
