Review: The folding design sold me, but they’ve been good for just about everything - I spent a fair amount of time looking for over-ear headphones before buying these. I wanted good sound and noise cancellation, but one thing that mattered more to me than I expected was being able to fold them up. I wanted something I could use at home and take to the gym or on a plane, so portability was a big part of the decision. Price was the other factor. Some of the headphones I was considering were around $400, and I wasn’t particularly excited about spending that much. At the sale price I paid for the Studio Pros, I feel like I got a lot for my money. I’ve used them at home, at the gym, and on planes, and they’ve worked well across all three. The sound is good, the noise cancellation does what I need it to, and the connection has been reliable. I haven’t had problems with dropped audio, which is one of those things you really appreciate when you just want to put your headphones on and listen. I also use in-ear earbuds and rotate between the two depending on what I feel like wearing. These have earned a regular place in that rotation. I’ve tried quite a few headphones over the years, and I’ve been happy with how these fit into my everyday use. My one caveat is comfort. The original ear pads were slightly uncomfortable for me, so I replaced them with WC Freeze pads. That improved the comfort, and with those replacement pads I can wear the headphones for hours without any major discomfort. That’s worth mentioning because my experience with longer listening sessions is with the replacement pads, and those were a separate purchase. Overall, I’d still give them five stars. The combination of sound, noise cancellation, reliable connectivity, and a design that folds up makes them a really useful pair of headphones for me, especially for what I paid.
Review: Extremely versatile! - I use these headphones for sound design (I make sample packs), modular synthesis, mixing, producing, jamming, livecoding, workouts, programming, gaming and more - so as you can imagine, they're essentially glued to my head all day long, and I think that qualifies me as a Beats Studio power-user of sorts, even though I've only had them for a few months. For starters, the noise-cancelling is excellent; the passive mode and two noise-cancelling modes really block out as much sound as you want (or DON'T want); I'm sure there are some exceptions, but I barely even hear my lawnmower when I have these on at a reasonable volume. They're extremely easy to use, as well; pairing with a phone only takes a second. They also act as an audio interface with PCs, although my luck with the noise-cancelling functionality has been shaky with Linux, but it's probably flawless with a more-normal OS. Instead, I've found that using an external interface and the included TRS cable is the way to go for my strange use-case, but your mileage will undoubtedly vary. The comfort is pretty much unmatched; my MDR-7506's might be a bit more comfortable, but these have never once bothered me. They can be worn with hats, glasses, or whatever without much of an issue. Sometimes accessories get in the way of the noise-cancelling functionality, but that's to be expected. They're decent for exercise, too, although they sort of fall off my head when I'm doing bench presses. Everything else doesn't seem to matter too much, although whatever maneuver I do when I'm doing kettlebell swings tends to make the music sound a bit 'wooshy', for lack of a better term. Still, they stay on my head, and that's saying something. They fit my large head and they even look cool, I suppose, although I'm not too worried about cosmetics. Over all, my mixes, sounds, and sample packs have been top-notch while using these, so they're pretty much my favorite headphones. **Q: do these really hurt? I'm a female with a normal size head and ears but a lot of male reviewers say they hurt, but are they good for gym if tight?**
A: I don't think they hurt; but I do get sweaty when I wear them for an extended period of time.

**Q: Do these cancel the sound of a mower?**
A: Hello

I never got to test the Beats Studio Pro close to a mower or in an area where there was one near. However, I did had them on at an airport, and in my opinion the headphones performed very well in that environment of multiple terminal announcements, sounds and noises.

**Q: Can I return these if I don’t like the fit?**
A: Depends upon the seller. If Apple, then yes within a set period of time.

**Q: I read a review of these that said they were tight. I have a big head, will these fit me?**
A: The Beats Studio Pro don't snug well. These headphones tend to clamp on the ears. I felt like wanting to take them off every hour of use because my ears started to feel suffocated and warm of how tight they were on my ears. I recommend you try them first if you happen to see them available for testing at your nearest Apple store, Best Buy or Electronics and Gadgets store.

I wanted good sound and noise cancellation, but one thing that mattered more to me than I expected was being able to fold them up. I wanted something I could use at home and take to the gym or on a plane, so portability was a big part of the decision. Price was the other factor. Some of the headphones I was considering were around $400, and I wasn’t particularly excited about spending that much. At the sale price I paid for the Studio Pros, I feel like I got a lot for my money. I’ve used them at home, at the gym, and on planes, and they’ve worked well across all three. The sound is good, the noise cancellation does what I need it to, and the connection has been reliable. I haven’t had problems with dropped audio, which is one of those things you really appreciate when you just want to put your headphones on and listen. I also use in-ear earbuds and rotate between the two depending on what I feel like wearing. These have earned a regular place in that rotation. I’ve tried quite a few headphones over the years, and I’ve been happy with how these fit into my everyday use. My one caveat is comfort. Love love LOVE these. Crystal clear sound, had some trouble with BT connectivity but soon as I updated the software (vis app) they work great. Battery life is fantastic! Easily lasts about a week with pretty heavy use. Also on a side note, if you have an auditory processing disorder or suffer from migraines these work great to minimize noise, even without using the noise canceling option (via cord). Very comfy, too. Highly recommend.
