**Q: Does this work with fibre? Think it's copper wire from the exchange box to my house  anyway, but don't know if need different router vs std broadband**
A: My DrayTek Vigor 2760 works with Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) through its VDSL2 support, utilizing copper wire from my house to the cabinet then fibre cable from the cabinet to the exchange.  Standard broadband or ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+ is for copper wire all the way to the exchange.  The OpenReach engineer said there was a voltage difference between VDSL2 and ADSL2+ so you also need a Mk2 OpenReach master socket or better.  Fibre cable from your house to the exchenge would be FTTH and even faster but not very common.

**Q: I currently have bt broadband and looking to instal virgin media broadband with bt. will this router let me combine both broadband and use as one?**
A: No.  The 2760 has two networks (LAN1 and LAN2) but they are intended to separate your private network (PCs, WiFi, games consoles etc) from the public network (ISP).  I had my 2760 setup so that LAN1 connected to my BT Internet hub and LAN2 serviced my internal network.If you want to use BT Broadband and Virgin Media together (failover, make more bandwidth available) you will need a Dual WAN unit.  Something like the Cisco RV325 - I have one of these now and it is excellent, if a little pricey.  Depending on the exact hubs you have from BT Broadband and Virgin Media, you are likely to want a Dual WAN unit that will allow you to connect your ISP hubs to it via an ethernet cable.  The RV325 will let you setup the two ISP connections for load-balancing or failover (primary connection fails over to secondary connection if the primary goes down).
