Despite the original pictures all over the net, Eaten has given this a facelift. I've purchased several of these over the years and in August 2026 got another pair for around the house. I noticed they've been redesigned by Eaton (who purchased TrippLite some time ago). It still has the same SK3-0 model number, but the packaging and the unit itself looks a bit different. It also sports 735 Joule Rating, up just a bit from the OG model that had 660 Joule rating I believe. Photos attached. Unit is Genuine. The product, Tripp Lite 6 Rotatable Outlet Surge Protector/Suppressor model SWIVEL6 is designed to cover/plug into one complete 15A Duplex receptacle. On the back, it has 3 metal prongs (Line, Neutral & Ground) and one plastic prong designed to plug into the 2nd ground prong on the duplex receptacle. **Q: If you plug this in to one socket of a a double wall socket will it block the other one?** A: Yes....the bottom 3 prongs are metal and what draws electricity, the top 3 prongs are plastic and I must mention that they are shorter in length then the metal prongs. I have an gf I outlet that wouldn't hold tight on the top prongs which caused the surge protector to push out of the top outlet. Not sure why the manufacturer wouldn't make the plastic dummy prongs EQUAL in length. I also must mention that it doesn't have the center screw to secure it to the outlet. So if you plug in something with a tight fit, when unplugging the cord it will pull the surge protector from the outlet as well. Not a good option for garage ceiling outlets either due to Not having the center outlet screw mount. I bought 13 more than 1 year ago for my house and they are all still working. Just sharing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ exelente *by J***A on 4 February 2026* buen producto si cumplio con lo que necesitaba ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Seems good but had a slighty loose blade ... *by A***R on 20 May 2016* Came in as described. It seems to work well, not having been tested in a power surge yet. The only thing was that one of the three prongs was a bit loose. The ground pin was fine along with one of the two flat blades, but one was a bit loose in that it would slightly rock a bit back and forth. I was trying to remember if I'd seen this in the past with three pronged plugs similar to this style of plug, to see if it was normal. I think I had and that I wouldn't have had any problems with it. I was a bit concerned so I contacted Tripp-Lit technical support and was told that it was normal, and that some of their products are like that where a blade might be a bit loose. I asked if it was a screw or the plastic housing perhaps wasn't as tight around the blade, and he said it was the plastic housing.
