If you are pulling the red trays out and completely filling the trays, you may need 2 canisters. **Q: Do pores get blocked after sometime? If so, can you clean? How durable are these?** A: Yes the pores can become clogged. Avoid serious clogging by putting your fine mechanical filtration before the Matrix and replace the mechanical filtration before it gets saturated with gunk. I clean the Matrix periodically by pouring it into a colander and agitating it under running water. That keeps the pores open and clean. If the Matrix really gets very dirty, I would replace it. Otherwise it's good indefinitely. **Q: I'm using this product since 15 days , 2 liter for my 130g but dosen't help reducing nitrate how many days ,weeks need to build the useful bacteria ?** A: It takes months for the bacteria you need to grow for removing the nitrate. Also depends on how stocked your tank is.
