Light tackle would be a 25-40 size reel or 2500 - 4000 size in the new generation reels. **Q: With the abf 80b how many meters (yards) of 1mm thick line can i get on it?** A: Most all reel spools are marked for lb test AND line diameter they accept and ALL fishing line are marked not only with the lb test but also the diameter of the line. 1 mm line is equal to approx 100 lb test so if the spool isn't marked for diameter simply check what lb. test, such as how much 25 lb, then extrapolate. For example, the reel would take about 4 times less 1 mm line than it takes of 25 lb test. **Q: What’s the difference in the A series vs the B series?** A: The B series is the newer generation of the two series. They have the same features and bearing count. The main difference is the new cosmetics. **Q: is the 65b a good catfish reel** A: Yes it is I have a 65 in the ABF and in that series the drag is the same in the 65 as the 90 @ 22lb. For me at least i think the big concern comes in matching it size to the rod paying attention to the angle to first guide on the pole. I have been using my Okuma ABF 65 for going on 10 years and while i dont fish as often as i would like i have upgraded the pole i use with this reel three times. I lost a Diawa crossfire ands a old Okuma reel in the dark. This reel was a replacement and I was pleasantly surprised. Balances perfectly on my ugly and can be used on canal as a ledger reel.... to sum it up a good little allrounder ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bait Feeder for fishing with kids *by on Reviewed in the United States 19 August 2020* I fish with the Okuma ABF-30b because it saved my sons life. I fish with my kids all the time. And when I fish with my kids I use the bait feeder function on these reels. If a fish hits and pulls line I hear the clicking. That means I can put the rod in a rod holder and watch my kids. Last year my two year old son tried splashing in the water, but the place he stomped was over his head. I saw it all happen because my rod has an Avenger bait feeder reel on it. I scooped him out immediately. If I had been fishing normally I am sure he would have drowned in the creek.I have at least 4 Okuma Avenger ABF-30bs (plus two other Okuma bait feeder reels). They are not the smoothest reels I have ever used, but they are a good deal for $50. I use the bait feed function all the time and it works well. I the bait feed when fishing bottom rigs on the Mississippi river and for lake trout in the BWCA. Also a nice feature if you want to slip bobber but need to take a break in the bushes. And again, any time you need to pay more attention to kids than a rod, you should have a bait feeder reel on it!About 1% of the time the bait feed doesn't engage and I need to flip the lever again. But, there isn't a comparable reel for less than $150.Also, I fish a lot. Usually a couple nights per week. I haven't worn one out yet. I pair them with rods from 6'6" up to 9'.
