My fountain pump fits into the net bag perfectly. I haven’t had to clean the pump yet, been over a month. It’s a large 40” fountain bowl and the water is still flowing strong. I normally have to clean the pump every couple weeks so this is a blessing. The pump sits in an under water reservoir, the reservoir hatch is hidden under river stone etc., so is a bit of a process. If I only have to clean it a couple times a summer that will save me some time.
