Have used it on on quite a few things. Great stuff. **Q: can this (hammered finish) be used on top of 'smooth' Hammerite?** A: Haven't tried that, my husband said to give the item a light sanding then paint on the hammered paint. This product is brilliant and last's a long time on our outside iron table and chairs, they have been out all winter and looks as good as when we painted them. I have a garden table and 4 chairs. They are not solid metal and have a lattice effect to the table top and seats.** A: It tells you the standard surface coverage on the tin.
