There are darker spots on the ball where I dropped the oil. I think because I was drying darks. It hasn't come off the ball. I'm not sure I should wash it or not. Haven't read that far to see. So I just recently heard about using dryer balls and I immediately fell in love with these! They're wonderful quality and amazingly do cut down on drying time and seem much more gentle on my delicate sweaters. I add several drops of lavender oil to them and run them through the dryer again on air dry. The bag makes for easy and convenient storage when not being used.
