I bought this set for a child I babysit who will be turning 5 in August. I am so excited to help her learn to read, and this set will be great when we "play school" and she is the teacher. The colored pictures are clear and engaging. Topics include bugs, birds, trucks, hens, cats, bats, crabs, pigs, foxes, vets, dogs, frogs, ants, and topics such as moods, skills kids have, and more. As far as recommended age, I would say 3 to 4 year olds would enjoy having this read to them and looking at the pictures, and readers from K to 2nd grade would enjoy these.
