One of the more noticeable differences is the fact that a die-cast frame has better resonant frequencies. This means that the frame is able to absorb and transfer much of the energy produced by the speaker, rather than vibrating like a bell would when it is stricken. A die-cast frame is more durable and harder to damage or break, and it has high dimensional stability for complex shapes, good corrosion resistance, good mechanical properties, high thermal and electrical conductivity, and retains strength at high temperatures. Electroplating is primarily used to change the surface properties of metallic or metal objects, for example, abrasion and wear resistance, corrosion protection, lubricity, and aesthetic qualities. Similar benefits can be obtained by applying a thin layer of electroplated film to our cones for great sounding speakers that will last you a long time.
