Unfortunately, it was missing the rod that connects the fixture. I requested the item, they sent me a new chandelier. In this shipment there was the rod I was missing. However, after mounting the base, we found that the rod wasn't long enough for the crystals to drape appropriately. Frustrating!! Now I have locate this piece at a hardware store and hope its the right length for the chandelier!
