As Expected for the Price - good for traveling and small fixes
Arrived today, so I cant yet say how strong the thread is (I will add to this review if any problems arise), but it is a decent little kit - for the price - for taking on vaca for small jobs. Referring to some points made by other reviewers:yes, the thread coils are quite small. But they appear to have more than enough thread to do a few simple jobs each. And there are two each of black and white, and three of light beige, which somewhat compensates for the lack of length. You will eventually need to buy more thread. By small jobs I mean re-attaching buttons, hopefully sewing a hatband onto a felt fedora (why I got it), but I wouldn't expect it to sew up a large rip in pants. As to difficulty in opening the case with the needles, there is a tiny piece of hard-to-see transparent tape securing it in place. This must be removed. After that, the black back piece is pretty easy to remove from the transparent part that actually holds the needles. When you remove that back piece, make sure it is/was on the top side, and hold the case perfectly flat, so no needles will not fall out even if the "hole" happens to be aligned with a needle "slot". Assuming needles dont start falling out, look at the side edge of the transparent part (it is opaque in places, but not the black backing.) You will see a gap at one point. To remove needles you need to rotate the transparent piece until the gap is over the "exit" slot for the needles you want to use. It is fairly difficult to rotate, use two opposing thumbs to turn it. Keep the whole thing level horizontally while you are turning the plastic, because whenever the "gap" goes over an "exit slot", if it's not perfectly level a bunch of needles will fall out.As a beginner, the hardest part is getting the thread into the needle. This kit comes with two threaders, which help a little but its still difficult for an old fogey like me with shaky hands and non perfect eyesight to do. The biggest help for me is this very useful device I got somewhere a long time ago, maybe at a surplus store, a jewelers loupe (?) which is a thing with a strap that goes around your head, a little light, and a strong magnifying glass that goes down over you eyes. That brings intense magnification to bear while leaving your hands free. But you probably wont take that on vacation, so, get a pair of strong reading/magnifying gasses (get them at a dollar store, they are way too expensive elsewhere). Also, the thimble is a ring with no top, which may actually be more useful than a regular one since I push the needles with my finger tip, not the top of my finger. We'll see.Thats a pretty long review for a $7 item, and I will add to it after I actually try it.OK,adding now after first use, sewing a hatband onto a felt hat. First, the thread is weak. It broke on me once when pulling through the felt. Thread is fuzzy, obviously not a strong polyester. Also, I was wrong about their 'ring' thimble being OK. A real thimble works much better. You get what you pay for.

Great!
I have to say this is a good little kit im fixing holes in my son pants. Good value imo. A lot of things inside making it very versatile. Being a smaller than it is you can travel with this very easy very nice appearance everything is sorted very neatly which makes ease of repairs and the different sizes, and the way that they have the thread inside the case makes me very fast at matching the thread which makes me faster to find the colors for the stuff i need to sew.

Compact and Handy Sewing Kit for Everyone
The Coquimbo Sewing Kit is a really useful little set that works well for beginners and experienced sewers alike. It’s great for travel, dorm rooms, or quick fixes at home. The kit comes in a sleek black case that’s compact and easy to carry around, which makes it perfect for tossing in a bag or keeping in a drawer.Inside, you get everything you need—thread in multiple colors, needles, scissors, pins, and more. The scissors are sharp enough for small jobs, and the needles are good quality. The variety of threads means you’re prepared for most common repairs, and the kit even includes some handy extras like buttons and a measuring tape. The size is just right—not too bulky but with enough supplies to get you through emergencies or simple sewing tasks. It’s a thoughtful gift for moms, teens, travelers, or anyone who likes to be prepared. The only minor downside is that for bigger sewing projects, you’d need a larger kit, but for everyday use, this one is spot-on.Overall, I’m very happy with this kit and would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable and complete sewing set. It’s practical, portable, and good quality for the price!

Perfect Sewing Kit for Home and Travel!
This sewing kit is an absolute gem! Everything is neatly packed in a compact and durable zippered case — nothing falls out or gets lost. It includes all the essentials: a variety of colorful threads (over 20 shades!), needles, pins, scissors, thimble, measuring tape, needle threader, spare buttons, and snaps.I was especially impressed with the quality of the threads — they don’t break easily and are smooth to work with. Everything is well-organized, and the case is small enough to take on the go. Great both as a gift and for emergency repairs at home.Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to always be prepared for small sewing fixes!

Great value
I needed a little sewing kit to fix a few holes in some sweatshirts I had. I don’t sew usually, maybe fixed a button a few times but this kit was perfect. Very inexpensive and came with a lot of stuff. Variety of needle sizes, different color threads. Perfect to keep in the laundry room for when I need to make a quick repair!

Solid Sewing Kit
Good sewing kit for the value. It is easy to carry with you on trips or moving. The functionality of the case is slightly wonky but nothing too crazy to complain about. I would recommend for small repairs that you aren’t looking for a super long term solution for or wouldn’t mind patching again.

Love and reccomend for emergency
Great set, it has a little of everything. It's not super high quality, but it is what you need. If you're in a pinch, it's great. I bought it for my daughter. She does not so so it's nice to have in the house. In case she has an emergency while i'm not available, lol

How I'm using this sewing kit
I found that I needed a small sewing kit. The kit comes in a black zippered case, smaller than a typical book. I was very pleased that it included scissors, needles of various sizes, snaps, a great variety of thread, and everything else shown in the product description. Since purchase, I've used it several times. It's easy enough to just make a quick fix. For the price, I think this is a great buy. If you sew often, you probably need a more involved kit but this is great for the average person.
