Basically, it is echinacea on steroids. That said, like many supplements, the best example I can think of is curcumin, it suffers from dosing and concentration of active ingredients. With curcumin, Solgar found a way (modern science) to concentrate the active compounds in it and so instead of eating curry three meals a day, like Indians, you just take a gel cap and you are good. This is how it is with Double Wood Andrographis, they have found a way to concentrate the active ingredient, the andrographolides. The effect of these compounds is enhanced immune system function. At 67 I have watched my immune system degrade, and I am not just talking about resistance to colds and flu, but other immunological conditions such as joint pain and allergies. This stuff is just great and the effects are noticeable.

A: yes they work out excellent

**Q: How much mg Androglapholides are in one capsule?**
A: Their website says the following: Double Wood’s Andrographis supplement contains a broad spectrum of Andrographis extracts per capsule including extracts standardized to 10% Andrographolides and the AP Bio patented extract standardized to 30% Andrographolides.

**Q: Is the Andrographis organic? Are the ingredients organic?**
A: The bottle reads non GMO. Nothing stated about organic but the fact that it’s non GMO, it was good enough for me.

**Q: Under How-to-Use, what does "cycled" mean in this statement?   "Andrographis is often cycled."**
A: It means to use it for, let's say, 1 week, THEN use another similar anti- viral,  anti- bacterial,  and/ or immune system stimulant.  That's how I've u understood it. Your body won't get used to it that way.

I bought Andrographis from a health food store. I was looking for natural remedies to lower sugar (my husband has type 2 diabetes). I was offered a brochure with the herb jar. When I read about the properties of the herb, I bought another jar and shared information with my friends and they bought it too. In the month of November, I had a venomous spider bite - a brown recluse. And I had headaches and confusion after reading that Andrographis helps with poisonous bites - I began to take it 2 capsules in the morning and in the evening. the headaches are gone.
