Review: A little goes a long way... - This was my first time ever using LorAnn Oils and I've got to say that I'm now a fan. I bought the cream cheese oil to try out in some American buttercream and it's definitely one of the better tasting extracts out there. I've tried different cream cheese extracts and they've all tasted horribly (like cherry medicine). This oil requires a very little amount for it to taste good (1/4 tsp, a little less to taste even) without it going overboard and it was the most similar to cream cheese icing that I could get without using cream cheese. I have very sensitive taste buds, so even with the oil in my buttercream, I was still missing some cream cheese flavor but it was definitely good enough to call cream cheese buttercream. I would definitely recommend this oil and the smell is amazing. You could even add a bit of cream cheese along with less than a 1/4 tsp of the oil to get some more cream cheese flavor and still have a sturdy frosting that crusts and won't melt.
