A: As shipped mine closed the contacts with the float down. You can remove the float and flip it over to reverse operation.

**Q: is it ok to run 110vac through it?**
A: Yes, it can run through 110VAC. But be aware of Maximum Switching Current :1 Amp.

**Q: I am using a 24vac relay and power supply. does this unit work on 24vac?**
A: Should work just fine on 24V

Sorry, but People can not read directions. It works IN either NO or NC. Just Flip Float Yes, It can also be mounted from TOP or Bottom. IF IT FAILS its because you are trying to pull too much power through it. It is designed to switch a relay or something that pulls lower than 20Va. This thing is currently operating the water level in a Industrial Hot water Parts Washing machine. Water temps are 180 F. It is constanly having to fill. BUT as the directions explain, you need to use a relay to drive the water solenoid. I found one solenoid that is used for Ice Makers that is lower than 20 Va.
