It floats on the water surface, using bubble-wrap-like air pockets to absorb solar energy and provide thermal insulation. This reduces heat loss and evaporation while preventing debris accumulation, making pool maintenance easier and extending your swimming season. Ideal for Bestway Power Steel Frame Pools, it offers a cost-effective, eco-friendly way to keep your pool warm and clean. ## Description Product Description Bestway 16ft Steel Pro Frame Pool Solar Cover floats on the surface of the water, preventing debris from accumulating inside a Bestway 16ft Steel Pro Pool and providing heat insulation. The solar pool cover, which can be laid out whenever you're not using your pool, is made from hardwearing material that closely resembles bubble wrap. It's these air bubbles that provide insulation, absorbing solar energy and using it to warm the water. The cover allows a minimal amount of temperature to escape and drastically decreases evaporation, meaning you spend less money on topping up the water. By blocking out debris the solar cover also cuts down on cleaning and maintenance costs.Bestway 16ft Steel Pro Frame Solar Pool Cover is an absolute essential for any owner of a 16ft Steel Pro Frame Pool. It can even provide insulation when the sunny season has ended! Warning! Not a safety cover! Adult supervision recommended at all times when children are around pools System Requirements continuity 2014 Safety Warning To protect children from drowning, it is recommended to secure access to the pool with a protective device Box Contains 1x pool cover Review: Does the trick and cheap - Warms the pool slightly in the sun and helps prevent heat loss at night so temperature drops less over night. It's basically just bubble wrap. You can spend a lot more on better/more effective thermal covers but for the price of this it does a good job. Fits my pool perfectly Review: Simple and effective - This works a treat, just roll it out with the bubbles on the bottom and blue sheet on top, it traps the heat and increases the pool temperature by a few degrees, it's effective for what it is and what's involved, but you will need a pool heater as well to help increase the temperature more. It also helps with stopping leaves and other stuff from falling in the pool. I don't think it will last more than 2 summers before the UV will damage it, but only time will tell. ## Features - Warning:To be used under the direct supervision of an adult - 15ft pool cover for above ground pools, perfect fit for Bestway Power Steel Frame Pools - Prevents dirt and debris accumulating in your pool - Cover floats on water surface to provide heat insulation - Made from durable material to withstand the extreme weather conditions ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00FQD5HJU | | Best Sellers Rank | 17,514 in Garden ( See Top 100 in Garden ) 67 in Pool & Hot Tub Covers | | Brand | Bestway | | Brand Name | Bestway | | Closure Type | Zipper | | Colour | Silver | | Customer Reviews | 4.1 out of 5 stars 12,674 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 06942138918953 | | Installation Type | Floating | | Item Dimensions L x W | 4.7L x 4.7W metres | | Item Shape | Round | | Item Type Name | Bestway Steel Pro Frame Solar Pool Cover - Blue, 16 Ft | | Item Weight | 1.41 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Wilton Bradley | | Manufacturer Part Number | 58253 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | 2 Year Limited Warranty | | Material | Polyethylene (PE) | | Material Type | Polyethylene (PE) | | Model Name | Flowclear 12' | | Model Number | 58242E | | Pattern | Solid | | Product Care Instructions | Store in a dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight when not in use. Its a pool cover. Its to help keep the water warrm **Q: what is the thickness in microns of this product?** A: 6000 **Q: Do I buy a plastic cover as well? Or can I just use the solar cover?** A: You can just use the solar cover but as that sits on the water I have a top cover as well ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does the trick and cheap *by R***D on 31 July 2024* Warms the pool slightly in the sun and helps prevent heat loss at night so temperature drops less over night. LOVE IT! Upgraded from the pop up type and this is so easy to set up/take down and you actually get all the space unlike the pop up type! Very sturdy and durable and no rim that deflates! It’s 4* because of the pump - useless! It’s too small for the size of the pool. I used my old pump last year, but it broke so opened this one for this year - it would for 15 mins before resorting to a trickle so I’ve upgraded pump to the next size up (got a very good price) and I’m now back cooking on gas with a sparkling pool! I love this pool!! ## Frequently Bought Together - Bestway 15ft Solar Pool Cover for Above Ground Pools, Pool Accessories - Intex 6 Filter Cartridges - Type A - Clearwater 1 kg Multifunction Chlorine Tablets, 4-in-1 Dispenser Tablets (Sanitiser, Stabiliser, Algaecide and Clarifier) for Pools and Hot Tubs, 50 x 20 g, White --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/51974241-bestway-15ft-solar-pool-cover-for-above-ground-pools-pool](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/51974241-bestway-15ft-solar-pool-cover-for-above-ground-pools-pool) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
