Review: I bought this Milliard Tri Folding Memory Foam Mattress with Washable Cover Queen (78 inches x 58 inches x 6 inches) so my adult son and his girlfriend wouldn't have to sleep on an air mattress while they are staying with us for a while. There was no noticeable odor when we opened the mattress, which is good for me because I am sensitive to smells. It took about 2 days to get to it's full fluff as expected. I haven't slept on the mattress, but I laid on in for a little while and it seemed comfy to me. I like how it folds up out of the way. :) My son and his girlfriend have been using the mattress for a little over a week now and they haven't complained. They started out with the mattress on our laminate floor. Before I bought this, I had read some comments about feeling the gaps between the sections of the mattress, so I asked them about it. They said if you have a smooth floor you may notice the mattress slipping and pulling apart so the gaps are more noticeable. My son and his girlfriend noticed it a little at first, but they got used to it and didn't notice it after they had been laying on it a while. They also noticed that if the mattress is on top of something that isn't slippery, like maybe carpet or in their case the suade-like top of an air mattress, the mattress won't slip apart as much. My son's girlfriend said the mattress is comfy, however she felt a little like she sank into it and could tell she was close to the floor when it was on the floor. My son thinks the mattress is comfy as well. They both like the mattress better on top of a raised queen air mattress, just for height since we don't have a bed frame, but they also both agreed it is better to sleep on this folding mattress long term than on just an air mattress. So far, this purchase has been well worth the cost, as it is serving its purpose well. My son is working from home and this is perfect for two adults to sleep on at night, then he can fold it away so he can use the space for his office during the day. :) I also bought a Milliard Carry Case for Tri-Fold Mattress, Fits up to 6 inch Queen (58 inches x 26 inches x 18 inches) storage bag to go along with this mattress but I haven't opened it to review it at this time. I will try to give an update when I do. I like the idea of being able to put the mattress away when not in use and having it protected from getting dusty. :) I hope this helps. Update 9/12/20 - The mattress case fits perfectly and is easy to use. It is easy to open up all the way then fold the mattress and set it on top and zip the cover. You can even keep a basic mattress cover on the mattress when storing it away. My 78 year old mom slept on the folding mattress on top of a raised air mattress so it would be easier for her to get on and off the bed. It worked really well and she said it was comfortable for her. I would recommend this mattress and case to others. Thank you.
Review: I had more trouble moving the topper for this mattress than the actual mattress. I was moving and I simply folded this mattress up and shoved it in the back seat of my regular four door Sudan. I had to smush it a bit to get the door to close. But I was amazed. The mattress is almost as impressive as a regular tempurpedic. Although I have been using it now without the topper directly on the floor (for now) and I notice the breaks in the mattress. But if I had it on top of a box spring or something of the sort I think I would not notice it is foldable. A few days ago I realized I could fold up the mattress and use it comfortably as a sofa. I ordered a triangular “headboard pillow for queen bed”. I will not even need any kind of futon frame for it. I would just fold the mattress with fitted sheet on and throw the quilt over it. Then set the headboard pillow on top of it and it should be the perfect sofa! I sat on the folded mattress and it feels great to sit on. All it needs is the back rest. Which is the triangular headboard pillow. I also ordered an 18 inch height foldable metal frame IN WHITE from eBay since desertcart does not seem to have a good selection on WHITE foldable metal frames. I need a high bed because I have a parrot that sleeps in the room with me and if my bed is close to the floor, she will get all her food all over my bed because she is a messy eater. One major selling point of this mattress is that it has some sort of guarantee that it does not have hazardous chemicals. I get tachycardia when I am exposed to the old school flame retardant. I slept on the floor for a very long time until studies and documentaries and laws came out showing how harmful those chemicals are and how they were actually killing more people in fires and how the cigarette companies had been the ones that came up with the enforcement on these chemicals in order to blame furniture and not cigarettes for household fires. I can certify that this mattress does not have flame retardant as my heart would have been giving me trouble by now if it had those harmful chemicals. Additionally, I was able to save a lot of $$ not having to get moving van to move my mattress. Therefore, the extra price for being foldable has already paid off! I want to get the carrying case for it now. Finally, it appears I don’t snore as much with this mattress and I am able to do without the sleep apnea machine. That thing drives me nuts, so I am very happy I am not waking up constantly because I’m not breathing/snoring. I have a very large chest (I’m a K cup) and I can sleep on my back or on my stomach on this bed without having common problems I have with most regular beds such as spring mattresses. Normally the weight makes my back sink in deeper in the middle back if I’m on my back. And if I am on my stomach the mattress doesn’t sink far enough to accommodate my chest. This mattress very comfortably accommodates all scenarios. If I could ask for anything is for it to be an inch thicker and be a little more firmer. But do note, this is a firm mattress I bought. I like firm. I slept on the floor for years, to give you perspective. If you are someone that likes soft, I’m not a good reference point.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Has anyone slept on this for an extended period - like as their regular bed? I'm looking for something flexible but comfortable for extended periods.**
A: I have slept on it for more than 6 months, and I unfold it and put it on the floor every night. I have never slept so well in my entire life, which is why I keep sneaking away from the super expensive latex mattress that I share with my husband. When a guest came to stay for a few weeks, I had her sleep on it: she was horrified about sleeping on the floor, and I would have given anything to not have to go back to my bouncy latex. The next morning after her first night, she was amazed at how well she had slept, and night after night, she slept wonderfully. By the time she left, she was taking notes about what the brand is and where to buy it, and walked out of here cursing the air beds that she reserves for her guests. While sad to see her go, I was exhilarated to get right back to it, on the floor, with my big dog. I am about to buy more. I highly recommend this. Btw, I sleep hot, and I have not suffered on this one, although, in all honesty, since I don't have to conform to my husband's need for being toasty, I point fans right at myself.

**Q: Has anyone found a good storage bag for this?**
A: I bought 2 twin mattresse for a camping trip and have I have limited space in my car so i searched for 2 days and found these,

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00W3SVP8I/ref=ya_aw_oh_bia_dp?ie=UTF8&psc=1&th=1.

They are sold as a set of 3, Jumbo size 50x40x27, the one you need are currently out of stock. I am waiting for them to come back so i can get a spare set for just incase.

Pro.
Cost me 12.99 (when i bought them). They are good stock, I've had both mattresses in the bags for 2 months, tested the bags April 1st to check the expansion rate and they expand like the first time out of the box. I got the bag comfortably down to 36x24x8.

Con.
I ripped the first bag, which i expected to happen, but thankfully i was able to secure the remaining bags successfully. I had to squeez the mattress a bit to get it in the bag, then i had to squeeze the bag a bit to get the zipper to close. *Don't press to hard or you'll bust the bag as i did, also be careful of the bottom as there is a fold open "flat" bottom.

**Q: Can you sleep on the floor with it? Like can you use it as a standalone bed?**
A: #1. Concrete slabs hold moisture from the ground. So if you put this down on the floor it could possibly get mold between it and the floor. However, an easy way to solve that is get a box of borax (like the kind you wash clothes with) and sprinkle it on the floor everywhere that you will lay the mattress down. Borax is not harmful, it's natural, but just creates a environment that is a mild base pH level. Mold must have a neutral to slightly acidic environment to grow. Borax is a natural/cheap way to ever prevent mold growth. Many boat companies use it in marine grade carpet and other materials on boats. So just sprinkle some down on the floor liberally, make sure to cover the area slightly larger than the mattress, then throw the mattress down over it and sweep up any excess. Problem solved.

**Q: On the parts where it folds, does it feel like there's a gap under your shoulder or is it pretty seamless when laying on it?**
A: we got a nice mattress topper, so I dont think any of our guests have ever noticed gaps. Also, we got the associated heavy duty bag that fits it like a glove. I slide it all over the place in the bag without having to worry about damaging the mattress. Then once i've got it in place, just unzip the bag and drop the bed into place.

I waited quite awhile to review this as I wanted ample time to get companies feed back after they stayed at our house a few times and we are using it as a couch (in the folded version) and I wanted to see if it held up. So far we have had it several months and while my company has mentioned it is on the firmer side, it is very comfortable. They do not notice the breaks in the mattress (where the folds are) and they do not feel the floor at all. It looks smaller than a queen when laid out but I think that's just an illusion because the queen sheets I already had fit it just like any other regular mattress. The mattress did have a slight odor but the odor has disappeared to nothing quickly and it expanded extremely well after opening. All measurements on thickness ring true for ours. I purchased a cover separately for when it is folded and use it as a place to sit in my sons room, like a couch when pushed up against the wall in the trifold position. My husband is a big guy (upper 300lbs) and while it does collapse down some with him it never gets to the floor. I am about 140lbs and it barely gives with me when I sit on it. Side note, I have even slept on it before with it folded in our "couch" position and that (while firmer than I liked, I like soft beds) was still very comfortable. This would be more of a nap spot for an adult since it was too short to stretch out or would be perfect for a kid sleeping over if you didnt want to unfold the entire bed.
