Some wheels are slick. Even when the walker has locked brakes, it can slide. This is dangerous for my dad when he uses the seat on the walker. It slides with locked brakes from under him when he is trying to sit down. The non-skid wheels on this model grip enough for him to use the seat. The second essential feature for my dad is the “sit-to-stand” handles on either side of the seat. He cannot use the upright arm rests to pull himself up.
