Conure and cockatiel... *by S***S on Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2015* Items received. As described. We bought these to replace plastic water bowls. Looking forward to a long future with these more hygienic water bowls for our birds. I ordered two, one for our conure and one for our cockatiel.The bowl fits without being unstable in the place of the old bowl. However, our cockatiel is still "afraid" of the new addition to his cage. But he will get used to it. We will have to convert him from his old plastic container. But I think it will be fine. Since we first adopted him, he has gotten used to a new cage and new bowls already. And everything has worked out well.Our conure.... The bowl fits his cage without being unstable. However, the jury is out as to his appreciation of this new drinking bowl. He continued to fight with it for the entirety of day one. We will see how this goes over the next week though. Since he he thinks he is Samson, anything he can lift up is fair game for being tossed around, in or out of the cage. He can pick this bowl up easily with his beak and throw it down like he is a pro wrestler. Over the course of day one, he Continued to dump the water out that was replaced. I was worried that he would not stop but then suddenly he did and he sat atop the bowl while it was on the bottom of his cage and he drank water!!! We praised him so much. But shortly after that he began the wrestling match again. We are going to continue to work with him but I may end up purchasing a larger bowl one size up so that he cannot just pick up and throw around :). It is no fault in the bowl or the maker. I had to use different hangers after getting a new cage recently with horizontal bars. The horizontal bar on the back of the hangers that come with these bowls would fall right through the bars of the cage and it caused the bowls to tilt forward and be unstable.
