Golden Age Pre-573 MKII is a mic preamp in 500 series rack format high quality 1 channel independent, built with good components and transformers for mic, instrument input and output. In addition to mic inputs with combo, line connector with combo connector and high impedance instrument with 1/4 inch TRS jack insert with 1/4 inch TRS jack output with XLR and 1/4 TRS jack, "Air mode that adds a slight boost above 10 kHz and a jumper to reduce the impedance input and further increase the air effect. How you'd hook it to your mixer would be dependent on which 500 series power supply you have, because that's where the in and out connections would be located. A: This is designed to install into a 500-series rack.  The rack provides the power and the connectors for the audio input and output.  I think Golden Age makes a standalone version of this preamp that is self-contained, in a 1U rack package if I'm remembering correctly.
