The blade thins nicely towards the edge, making it relatively slicey while the thickness near the spine creates strength. The action is smooth and the lock feels solid. There's also virtually no play in the blade, which is spectacular. This is a very nice knife, especially for the price. You can also easily mount the pocket clip to either side of the knife, which is a great feature many companies overlook. My only complaint is that the thumb stud on the left side of the blade (the one I'm going to use when opening right handed) isn't finished. That little knob is what's left over from what's essentially a holding tab and there's really no edge break on the edges of the stud, making it sharp on the corners. It's a very small qc oversight and it's quite understandable when the shop is pumping out dozens of those tiny studs an hour. Fortunately, I work in a machine shop, but if you don't, a little work on a diamond sharpening stone will take care of the knob on the end of the stud.
