FYI, the lot I bought wasn't colourfast, even after I had put it through a hot wash 3 times... so I haven't been able to use it for what I wanted it for. Maybe I was just unlucky and got a bad lot, I don't know **Q: Hi, would this material be any good on a ceiling, as drapes? I want my fairy lights to shine through a bit.** A: This is quite dense and decent quality fabric and I don’t think you will see any fairy lights able to shine through. **Q: I want to order 30 metres. Is this sold in 1m pieces or can it be rolled as one huge length?** A: From what I remember it comes in one continuous length **Q: i have some flimsy silk curtains. Would this be suitable for lining them? Would it let much light through?** A: Yes I think it would be a good idea. Regarding light - I think it would definitely be an asset but if looking for total blackout then no. It also depends how your window is situated and whether direct sunlight ?
