Detailed examination establishes it's pretty much identical to its "Nikon" equivalent except for the lack of a Nikon badge. Oh, and the silly price tag. As well as extending working capacity with the extra battery it improves the handling of the D500 body, not that it isn't good to start with. All in all a very solidly made unit at a fraction of the branded label equivalent.
