Thanks** A: these mugs are brilliant for cooking soups and 3 bean soup, so beans should be fine. lid is not secure enough to transport food in. recommended. I dont know what a sausage spoon is though. **Q: Is one supposed to remove the vent for cleaning? It looks as if it will clog with food & be difficult to clean.** A: Hi, I've used my mug quite a few times now with no issue. I heat chunky soups and the vent has not blocked. I just rinse the lid under a hot tap and all is fine. Very happy with my mug, better than the poundstore versions. **Q: Can you use this to warm oil? Just to warm up not heat it through** A: Just tried it and the answer is, as S4C has said, "Using caution there shouldn't be an issue". But if you don't use caution then watch out! Making sure that the mug is completely dry, I suggest that add a little oil and then with the lid attached give it a few seconds and then test. Still cold? Try another few seconds and so on. That said, I won't be trying to heat oil in the mug again. The consequences of pressing for example the 10 minute key instead of the 10 second one due to a lack of concentration, have frightened me off. **Q: Does one drink directly out of the cup? I have a disabled Aunt with bad arthritis in her hands so want to know how stiff the clip are to open.** A: Hello, yes I drink out of my cup, rally well constructed and light, the 3 clips are also easy to do up and undo, you will have no problem even with your aunt,s arthritis, saves loads of spills in the mircowave ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect size for soups and stews fantastic value for work lunches *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 11 October 2026* This mug is absolute gold for prepped lunches at work. The steam release vent on the lid pops open easily, allowing steam to escape safely while keeping messy soup or sauce splatters contained inside the mug rather than all over the inside of the microwave. The comfortable side handle stays cool enough to touch, making it easy to carry straight from the microwave to your desk without burning your hands. At 656ml, it holds a generous portion of soup, stew, pasta, or porridge with plenty of room left at the top to prevent boil-overs. The signature Sistema clips snap down securely around the rim to create a tight, dependable seal during transport in a work bag. It is completely BPA and phthalate-free, cleans up easily in the dishwasher, and doesn't warp or degrade after repeated reheating. It is lightweight, durable, and practical for daily meal prep. Considering the solid build quality and how much hassle it saves during lunch breaks, it offers fantastic value for money. An easy five-star rating! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Clever Kiwi Design That Truly Works – Sistema Gets It Spot On! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 11 November 2025* While visiting family in New Zealand, I noticed one of them using a Sistema microwave container, and I was instantly impressed by the simplicity and cleverness of the design. No mess, no spills, just smart functionality that clearly worked. When I got back to the UK, I was delighted to find that Sistema products are readily available on Amazon — so I decided to give them a try for myself.I ordered two of the Sistema Microwave Soup Mugs (656 ml) with the steam-release vented lids, priced at around £5 each — excellent value for something so practical. As usual, they arrived the very next day with Prime, neatly packaged and ready to go.Right out of the box, the quality stood out. The plastic feels thick, sturdy, and built to last, and those signature Sistema locking clips are brilliantly designed — solid, satisfying to snap into place, and far more secure than the flimsy lids you get with cheaper brands. They give you full confidence that nothing’s going to leak or pop open in the microwave. For the first test, I made a quick batch of Maggi instant noodles. I poured in the hot water, flipped open the steam vent, and microwaved it for just 30 seconds. The result was spot-on — the noodles cooked perfectly, evenly heated, and the lid kept all the steam inside where it belonged. Best of all, there wasn’t a single splash or speck inside the microwave afterward.I also really appreciate that Sistema uses BPA-free plastic, which is something I pay close attention to now — especially having become more health-conscious since being in remission from cancer. It’s reassuring to know that the materials are safe, food-grade, and built to withstand regular heating without worry. The interior design of the mug makes it easy to scoop out food, and the bright colour means it’s always easy to spot in the cupboard (a small touch, but one that shows real attention to detail). It’s simply one of those products that works exactly as it should — no fuss, just a reliable clever design that makes everyday life that bit easier.I’ve already added more Sistema pieces to my kitchen — their practicality and thoughtful engineering really sets them apart.Verdict: Fantastic quality, heats food beautifully, good size, and feels built to last.Highly recommended — Sistema proves that simple ideas, done right, make the biggest difference. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for a work lunch *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 21 June 2026* Love these - only bought another one as mine was swiped from the kitchen at work. Handy for bringing in leftovers and reheating in the microwave, dishwasher proof - but not theft proof! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/51552588-sistema-microwave-small-soup-mug-565-ml-microwave-food-container](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/51552588-sistema-microwave-small-soup-mug-565-ml-microwave-food-container) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-11-02*
