I wanted to get a nice older style fedora he could wear when we do 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s special events. I think I looked at every similar hat on Amazon, some less expensive, and some more expensive, but I think this hat is a great value. I was very pleased with the quality of it and it not only is lined nicely, but it comes well packed in a great reusable hat box. Oh, and the sewn brim is another very nice detail most of the other hats don't have. Incidently, I went to the old venerable hat shop downtown Cincinnati to see what they had last week. Some very nice high quality hats, but they wanted around $300 for the one that is similar to this Levine hat~! I will buy again when I leave this one in a cab (which is what happened to the last one). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Overall Good Hat for a Good Price *by J***B on Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2021* What can be really be said about a red fedora? It's bold, striking, & aggressive (and it's red). Those are some of the reasons why I purchased it. Also, 9th Street Hats is a line of affordable hats from a well regarded hat company. That was another plus as was the pictures provided information as to how the fedora would be packaged. This company knows how to ship a hit--in a hat box with the hat suspended crown down so as not to adversely affect the shape of the brim.The hats does appear well made. I only gave it 4 stars for some minor reasons. One, it runs just a touch big. I ordered a medium which is a 7 to a 7 1/8. I am the latter. But the hats fits closer to a 7 1/4. Inserting one hat sizer into the brim fixed this. Nor is this all that uncommon with some hat brands. Better a bit large than a bit small.Second, the crown is just a tad shorter than I am use to. It top of the crown touches the top of the head. A mere adjustment in the design to where the crown is an 1/8 to a 1/4 inch higher would fix this problem. Still, it's not enough of a problem to not recommend someone to purchase this hat. After one or two wearing and this probably won't even be noticed.Third, the 100 % wool fabric seems fine overall. But it seems somewhat less finished than comparable hat brands such as the Walrus hat brand which also is tailored in China of 100% Australian wool. Again, this tiny issue should not keep someone from consider buying this hat.
