It will accommodate even the largest of stamps. It inks my stamps well. The color is black but not too dark. I personally like the lighter shade. It works better in my junk journals. Opens easily but there is nothing to keep it closed or latched when in transit. Due to the size a suppose it is more of a desk pad. The case and hinges look strong and sturdy. The pad gives but not too much. The ink wipes off of my stamps nicely if wipes right away.
