The material is not bad at all, but it’s not very stiff, so I would recommend it more to beginners than experienced chefs with plenty of expensive tools.

**Q: On this ad, I see the dimensions, but, what is the actual length? And is there a shoulder strap and are there hooks on bot sides?**
A: I don't know the actual length, as it's at my other house.  I do know that it is a great size.  I put all of my knives, including my really 15 3/8" bread knife in it and had room left over for other cooking necessities.  It also has a strap w/ a hook on both sides.  I love it.  Was really impressed.

**Q: I have a 17 in steal would this fit**
A: I'm sure this would fit.  I have a 19.5" long brisket slicer that just fits within this bag.  It was the reason that I got it.  I also have room for a bunch of other butchering knives and a set of whetstones.  It seems to be working very well for me.  I've only carried it around to a few places.

**Q: How do you clean the bag?**
A: I haven’t had to clean mine yet but the material is such that you can just use a sponge and soap and water and then just dry it off.

**Q: Do you have 16inch of this item**
A: 16" hole- no

Good sturdy bag very capable for the mobile chef. The velcro straps aren't fantastic at holding the blades apart, but they will stop knives flopping around. Zippered pockets for assorted utensils is well thought out and the carry strap is handy, I wouldn't rely solely on it though
