Product Description Sennel Pastel It took more than three years to reach the turn of the 20th century to formulate the Sennelier range of soft pastels, creating one of the largest color palettes of pastels. Throughout the century, this color palette has evolved, but the core of its manufacturing remains unchanged. A gentle Sennelier pastel is made from pure, high-quality pigments, ground with a transparent natural binder. The high-quality composition of the pastels results from a perfect balance between binder and pigment. In the grades, increasing amounts of fine minerals are added, which eventually tend to white. Its exceptional shine is the pigment and natural minerals discovered by Sennelier in 1905 and used ever since. Sennelier pastel manufacturing process cylindrical does not press the dough and the pastel dries naturally in the air. The life of a work of art is ensured by the quality of the pastel, but also by that of the base. For strong overlaps, it is best to fix between layers. However, avoid fixing the last layer too much, as the original vibration of the tones would be lost. Pastels in ECU ECU PASTELS: 525 gradients near white, in 4 formats. **Q: Why are the darker colors like deep blue, evergreen and others less soft and buttery? When using they don't lay down smooth, scratch even??**
A: Some pigments are softer (finer particle size) than others. Sennelier does not add talc to equalize the textures, because that would dull the colors.
