I went for the chrome option to see if it would work on my induction hob, it doesn't, that's fine the product page says it doesn't, but was worth a shot.This isn't the reason for my low score though. I used an induction hob converter (which works fine with my other non-induction pots) which basically makes my hob a hot plate style stovetop. It turns out that the bottom of my Stagg kettle isn't flat and can easily rock side to side. With a hot plate this means there is an air gap between the hob and the kettle and therefore it takes forever to heat up. I'd expect to heat half a litre of water in a few minutes, not 10+ with my hob on its boost setting.
