Certainly I would never use this as a bathroom speaker. If you want surround sound cinematic effects in a small budget portable speaker I wish you all the best but to all intents and purposes this speaker for £40 does everything I want it to. There's no issue in Bluetooth connectivity and whenever I have friends or family round it's great for everyone to have their own musical contributions so easily through Bluetooth. It just shouts quality, heavy aluminum construction, no plastic. Sounds fantastic and Bluetooth connects instantly. Has NFC but you only need that once or if a guest uses it. I use it mainly with the Amazon Echo Dot, either Bluetooth or cable connection, works equally well and really is the perfect match. Gives out 20W so ups the quality of the small Dot speaker and both are far cheaper than a full size Echo alone. Plus you can use this speaker elsewhere when required. Perfect for me, looks and sounds the business, not tacky or cheap. Great value. Only downside is no usb dongle socket and no SD card slot, but hey still 5 stars.
