Review: fantastic for dropping your phosphates - my phosphates where of the charts after researching i came across this stuff thought id give it a go,nice safe way to try without harsh chemicals. i used a media bag fine as they come with the hopes of keeping some of this inside and placed it in my sunp under my return pipe flow, i testd my phosphates the next day no real difference was made, the following day the magic begun the levels dropped by almost half and by test day number 3 levels was within spec, i have left the media pouch in the sump to keep levels steady as i clean up my tank, no need to prewash this stuff it does release a little coloring when first placed but soon clears, i would recommend this if you struggling with phosphates after trying to identify whats causing them first, good product little pricey, but for me the main thing is it works.. ## Features - Use biocides safely. I would recommend to run it in a media reactor, it will be much more efficient that way. **Q: Is RowaPhos less likley to clump than BRS standard GFO?** A: Either one will clump if not used properly but Rowaphos is a great product! **Q: Does this need to rinsed? I saw some people rinse it and others don't..what are your suggestions? i will use it within a reactor on 120 Reef.** A: My understanding is that you should not rinse this product. I never have and have never had issues with it in my 120. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Extremely effective phosphate remover *by S***R on 14 January 2026* ROWAphos works exactly as expected. Was sparing with it as advised so benefits from very little product are clearly visible ## Frequently Bought Together - D-D RP-50 ROWAphos Phosphate Removal Media - 500 ml/16.9 oz - Marineland Black Diamond Premium Activated Carbon, Filter Media For Aquariums, 40 Ounces - ALEGI Media Filter Bag Aquarium Extra Fine,Reusable 180 Micron Drawstring Mesh Filter Bags for Very Fine Resins Filter (7.5"*3.6" (3 Pack)) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/50694217-d-and-d-rp-50-rowaphos-phosphate-removal-media-500](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/50694217-d-and-d-rp-50-rowaphos-phosphate-removal-media-500) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
