Review: Sleek, Space-Saving, and Functional: The Joseph Joseph Tota Laundry Basket - The Joseph Joseph Tota 90-Litre Laundry Basket is a thoughtfully designed and stylish solution for managing laundry in any home. With its sleek, modern appearance, it fits seamlessly into a bedroom, bathroom, or utility room—proving that practical storage can also be aesthetically pleasing. What sets the Tota apart is its dual-compartment design, featuring two 45-litre sections with removable tote bags. These bags are lightweight, easy to carry, and make sorting laundry a breeze—eliminating the hassle of separating clothes before washing. This clever setup not only saves time but also reduces the strain of lugging heavy, overflowing baskets around the house. Despite its generous capacity, the Tota maintains a compact footprint, making it an excellent space-saving option for smaller living areas. A well-fitting lid keeps dirty laundry neatly concealed, helping to maintain a clean and organized appearance in your home. One of the most surprising and impressive aspects of the Tota is its flat-pack delivery. Thanks to an ingenious design, the basket arrives compactly packed and is incredibly easy to assemble. The instructions are clear and concise, and it even includes the necessary Allen key—no additional tools required. At £90, the Tota may seem like a premium investment, but it delivers exceptional quality and functionality that justify the price. From the robust construction to the intuitive design, everything about this laundry basket speaks to thoughtful craftsmanship and durability. If you’re in the market for a laundry basket that combines style, efficiency, and high-end quality, I would highly recommend the Joseph Joseph Tota 90-Litre Laundry Basket. It’s a small upgrade that makes a big difference in your daily routine.
Review: High quality stylish product but slightly expensive for what it is - I caught this on a prime day sale and I've just moved into my first home and needed a washing basket otherwise I might have struggled to justify it's normal cost simply because it's a washing basket. I'll start with my only slightly negative comment and that is the construction of the basket is rather fiddly and time consuming, I would heavily recommend and small flat head screwdriver to push in the cloth parts into the plastic lids on either end. I'm not sure otherwise how I would of managed to get them in as the fit is very tight so you don't get creases on the fabric when it's finished, which does make sense. When you tighten the legs with the Allen Key make sure you turn it until it won't allow you to anymore so that you have no creases left in the finished product. Otherwise once you get past the construction it does look very smart and modern and you can tell it's a quality product, I definitely feel I will probably never need another washing basket in my life unless something goes wrong with it but I'd imagine that probably won't be the case. I'm a big fan of the bag design within it as it allows you to easily keep white and other coloured washing separate without having to sort them. The handles are a nice touch which I imagine will make it easy to take to the washer rather than having to empty it out into another basket. Overall I'd recommend waiting for a sale as I think I'd be embarrassed to say I spent so much on a washing basket, but in saying that it is a well thought out and stylish product that will probably outlive me so if you think you can justify the cost I'd snap it up.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What size is best to get for two adults. 60L or 90L. Normal weekly clothes usage.**
A: Two adults here - we are using 2x 60 litre and we're finding that is working very nicely in conjunction with an 8kg capacity washing machine that does 2-3 weekly washes. And by 'nicely' I mean it doesn't overflow, but there's always a filled compartment ready for the next wash.

I think the biggest thing to consider is - will you also be using this for towels as well, or just clothes?
If just clothes - you might get away with having a single 60 litre between the two of you...but 90 litre would be a safe bet!

**Q: Realistically, what volume of clothing does the 60l cater for - would it be suitable for a family of three?**
A: We use it for two adults it's a great looking item however I would go for the large one for 3 people

**Q: Can this washing basket be put in the wash if it gets dirty?**
A: The inner fabric bags can be easily washed, and come away from their plastic rims fairly easily.
The outer fabric surrounding the basket probably could be washed, but you'd have to dismantle the basket structure and they're a right pain to put back together!
I'd probably opt for cleaning the outside with a wet cloth instead.

**Q: Can the bags that hold the clothes be washed?**
A: Yes they can

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great bin but a challenge to assemble
*by C***R on 4 September 2026*

This is a sturdy and stylish laundry bin, the bags are easy to lift out and take to the washing machine. It loses one star because it’s a challenge to assemble. You have to stretch the fabric over and push it into a groove which is, for me, nigh on impossible. I’ve done most of it but had to leave a section out as I just couldn’t do it. Fortunately it hasn’t mattered but it is irritating not being able to finish it properly
