A: There is no external speaker so you can only listen through the ear buds included or headphones.

**Q: Is there a trick to get ot to play in the car?**
A: This is a basic Discman.  If you want to have the CD play through your car radio you need the Sb3705 model with a FM transmitter

A: This unit does not play MP3
