I needed my hair black for two nights so and on the 2nd night I only used 1 can cause I didn't buy enough. It still did the trick and the blonde in my hair would pop out in the tips but it actually looked pretty cool so I didn't mind. With 2 cans was I able to wash out pretty much all of it with 3 shampoo cycles. My tub was a mess but easy to clean. It does come off when you touch your hair so be mindful of what you wear and if your hair will touch your face. It feels a bit stiff and a slight hint of sticky so just don't mess with your hair as much as possible. I was able to run the curling iron over some parts after I colored it so that was good but style your hair before spraying it. With one can I noticed most of the curls in my hair still held on. The smell was not too strong when it was getting sprayed on and I didn't feel like it smelled through the night. If it did, I don't notice.
