Beautiful!!! - Omg!!! I absolutely love this flock!!! My tree is gorgeous!!! So easy to use. It is a little messy but, well worth it! I did mine indoors. Placed the tree on tarps and applied patiently. I used a plastic Tupperware sifter to apply and sprinkled it with my hands in areas that I wanted it to look heavier. I did mix Elmer's glue in warm water and shook until dissolved. I started at the bottom of the tree and worked my way up. Make sure you get the branches your working on really wet before you start applying then keep misting flock until it's wet through and through. I actually sprayed each area 2 or 3 times as l went. Then sprayed the whole tree again once I was finished applying. This stuff really sticks!! Even if I shake the branches nothing falls off! I bought the 5 pound box and still have half a bag left. Tree is usually about 6 ft wide at the base. Thanks for any help!** A: I would think it should. It depends on how heavy you actually flock it. My daughter and I both used the same 5 lb box of flock for a 6ft and 5ft tree, one had heavy flock and the other medium. One was an artificial tree and one was real. We had plenty leftover. **Q: Should I put my lights on first or after flocking?** A: We flocked hundreds of trees each year for over 30 years at a place we owned. My job was to put lights on about a 100 trees a year. I put them on before we flocked. Yes, to do it right you want a lot more lights. String the lights up and down each branch making it so the wires aren’t going across the branches. Then flock it, as heavy as you want. The lights glow through the flock and you end up with a beautiful tree. I had customers that had me do it for theirs every year. Some were with me from our first year to our last. Even had a couple come to my door at my home, after we shut down, begging me to still do theirs. You won’t be sorry if you flock over the lights. The best way is to wrap the strings around the branches rather than using ties. Also, if you use a lighted tree top, be sure that you leave the proper end at the top so you can plug it in. Good luck! **Q: How well does it hold up after a year or so?** A: I flocked my christmas tree 3 years ago and it still looks great. It will come off eventually, just be intentional with your storing methods and you can get some real longevity out of it. After 3 years (seran wrap storage) I do not yet need to "touch it up". There are no words for how EASY this stuff is to use. I was determined to have a flocked Christmas tree but love the size of my current 12 year old Christmas tree. I was scared to death to do this myself because I always feel like I mess everything up. You guys, this stuff is pretty much idiot proof. You spray the area you’re going to flock, shake the flock over that area, then spray again. I did this outside!!!!! My drive way still looks like it’s been snowed on, a week later. I wanted my tree pretty heavily flocked. After a few different techniques I decided, it would be best to start by flocking each section of your tree UPSIDE DOWN first. Then put that section into the base & flock again from rightside up starting with the bottom section of your tree. This method would probably only work if your tree is not pre lit. You’re just spraying & shaking. I sprayed my tree really well all over after I was finished & let it dry overnight. I sprayed it all over again the next day & it sat for a few days before I decorated it. I was really trying to “lock in” my heavy flock. Inevitably I did loose some flock during the lighting & decorating even after all my spraying. My tree looks AMAZING. It was incredibly easy. It makes my 12 year old tree look like a million bucks.
