The housing is heavy duty and the light is extremely bright. The only down side: they burn through even good battery's fast and, as you might expect, the light gets dimmer as battery's start to run down. I use a flashlight for maybe 1/2 hour a day, and have to change batteries about once a month if I want to keep a bright light.
