I will say, though, that they seem to be built well. My use for them was with a laptop to connect to a docking station, so I needed they to be good enough to transmit the data for a 4K display. They serve that purpose flawlessly. I previously had something else that I only used for charging, and I appreciate that these "hug" so close to the laptop. It might be an issue if you have less clearance, but for me, it's perfect.
