Review: It is NOT a typical cheap gauge. - I purchased this fuel gauge for my VW rail buggy. I had tried several different brands and types of gauges, but none of them worked as they should have. This gauge is by far the best one I have used. The gauge is nice, and heavy duty. It goes through a start-up check to make sure it is reading correctly. If I were to have any complaints, it would only be how the gauge readings change so quickly with the movement of the fuel in the tank. If you want to get a proper reading, it is best to be sitting flat and not moving. Otherwise, this is a great deal!!

A: Should have can with product. Honestly, it works horribly. Was never accurate.

**Q: Warranty period?**
A: I know amazon gives you a 30 day warranty,other than that I dont know the one I installed is working well.

**Q: Is this available with a black gauge bezel instead of chrome?**
A: No

**Q: The tank mouting surface is not horizontal.  How far from vertical (degrees)  can this unit be mounted and still have good float operation?**
A: You can bend the float arm to adjust for any angle. Should work for you with a little effort.

I purchased this fuel gauge for my VW rail buggy. I had tried several different brands and types of gauges, but none of them worked as they should have. This gauge is by far the best one I have used. The gauge is nice, and heavy duty. It goes through a start-up check to make sure it is reading correctly. If I were to have any complaints, it would only be how the gauge readings change so quickly with the movement of the fuel in the tank. If you want to get a proper reading, it is best to be sitting flat and not moving. Otherwise, this is a great deal!!
