Review: Doorbell transformer - Not the prettiest thing to look at, fortunately mine is tucked away in the porch. Easy to connect and works well to power a Honeywell doorbell. I moved away from wireless doorbells as they never seem to last very long. Where the wires connect to the transformer is tight on space. Also, the plastic lock pin that holds the cover on is cheap and flimsy, not ideal on the mains live side. All in all, it works well.

**Q: Does it work with Ring video doorbell**
A: If your Ring Doorbell is a version that requires 8-24v AC then yes this works. It won’t work with the “Pro” range as they require DC rather than AC.

**Q: Can this be wired to a plug socket rather than the mains**
A: Yes as long as your plug socket is 240 volts AC. I can sell you my transformer as I bought it in error.

**Q: How is this different from the D780?**
A: Hello, thank you for your interest in our products. 
The difference between the transformers is the mounting type:
for the D780 is DIN/Surface
for the D753 is Surface
Both transformers have the same power specifications, 8V ~ 1A AC.

**Q: i have a 107a at the moment i have replaced the battery pack and included a illuminated bell does this model have a built main transformer**
A: The D753 is JUST a transformer-nothing else. It replaces batteries.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Little Unit

Bought this some years after previous transformer went faulty and at the time I instead used batteries within the chime unit. Not being happy with this arrangement I came across this great little unit and connected it to the existing wiring. Very happy with this more satisfactory set up.
