There are many possible reasons that you don’t get any tone!! First of all make sure your cable is working well!! With your plug ins is nothing wrong. Just make sure you don’t use a 16ohm cabinet! On the back is a little red light, under the Infinium label!! When that is lit there’s a problem with the power valve!! Next, try all settings on the power attenuator!! There are 3 settings possible, 0.1 watt, 1watt, and full 5watt, if any of them give you no sound the attenuator is faulty! Now last but not least, put the tone and volume settings on 12 clock!! Also the Gain knob!! Even if you want to play just clean tones, you have to play with the Gain knob!!! Then there’s a little “Phat” switch between the Gain and Treble knob, that will give a power boost!! If there’s still no success look at the Fuse in the power cable you use!! If it still does not work, send it back!! Do not try to open it up or do anything inside of it!!! It’s very dangerous and can be lethal!!! It arrived next day, but the power tube was fooked.. Big crack in the glass & it could be heard as soon as it was plugged in and powered up. So... ordered an upgrade kit from "Watford Valves" UK. A set specific for the T5. They arrived a few days later. Threw them in &..... Well.... I'm in love.... The sound is too hard to describe in words.but.... Cream and warmth... through an 8 inch vox speaker, from a pathfinder... Just.... incredible... And all for under £150..... The only 3 cons about this little monster... 1.No standby switch 2.Rattling sound from the top and bottom pieces of the amp housing... (I resolved it with some insulating tape... cut into small pieces next to the scews, like little pads) 3.it makes random noises now and then once it's hot, but not being played on... Like gunshots, or a car backfiring... Possibly the tubes.. All.in... an incredible piece of kit for any guitarist, looking for valve tones at house friendly volume.
