This means the door frame fitting has to be sunk more into the frame otherwise the catch is released upon closing. Not fun if you haven’t got a key! d) the rim cylinder seems a bit cheap

**Q: Does the internal handle lock from the outside (so it can't be opened from the outside through a broken window)?**
A: No. It has to be deadlocked from the inside using the key. The key can open it when deadlocked from the outside. I hope this helps.

**Q: Does anyone know if these night latches are left/right handed or are they universal?**
A: Hi, Melanie. They are universal. For right hand the nib button is above the latch and for left hand it would be below it. It would work equally well either way.Tony

**Q: If I block the handle with the key from inside and leave, another person inside can open it if he/she has a key, or is blocked inside?**
A: If you lock it from the inside, then no key means no escape

**Q: is there a version for door which opens autside? I have that lock in door which open outside and latch bolt is designed for door which open inside**

This lock looks and feels solid and is well known by locksmiths as a good lock that you can depend on to work well, with a London bar on the lock body and one on the keep to prevent punch out it has added power? The London bars are coach bolted through the door to be seen from the outside, as it is worth letting the bad guy know before he starts to work on your door! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy

Bought this to replace my broken one (quite old). Sturdy construction and looks fantastic. The latch sticks out quite fast so had to chip out the base plate area so it could close easy. The handle is not solid around the back which feels bad when using it to open however. Would be better if it was solid metal.
