They were MISERABLE and I had to take them to the vet to get antibiotics, but I also read that lysine will help too so I decided to get some and try it. Within a could days they were feeling better with less sneezing. Thanks in part probably to the antibiotics, but the lysine sped up their recovery. Well just two weeks ago one of those cats started showing signs of an upper respiratory "something" with terrible sneezing. He was down in the dumps over it too so I immediately started giving him lysine every day. I avoided having to take him to the vet and he was feeling better within about three days. Lysine may not work for every pet and I am certainly not advocating not having your vet check your pet out to make sure they don't have an infection, but to stop the flare-ups of allergies, feline herpes, etc, this is a good product to consider.
