## Description

• Bulb Count: 50 • An early and long-flowering iris with a good scent, plant it at the front of the border or in a pot for inside or out. • Will display deep velvety-blue flowers, with a darker colour on the falls and a clear yellow line, with a white flecked tongue. One of the best pot varieties of iris on the market today. • Position: full sun • Soil: well drained soil • Flowering period: February-March • Flower colour: Blue • Scented • Suitable for containers • Excellent cut flower • Hardiness: fully hardy • Bulb size: 5/6 • Planting Growing Instructions Bulbs are to be planted 8cm deep and about 10-12cm apart, in well drained soil. It is often best to try to position then with plenty of access to sun. For best results, plant in September through to November. • Cultural Instructions Take some care to prevent slugs and snails from attacking the iris once planted. Most Iris can naturalise well if left undisturbed or alternatively bulbs can be lifted and separated in Autumn. After flowering feed with a high potash fertiliser to encourage large bulbs to form. • After planting, there is little to do other than await your display. For the first few years in permanent plantings of Anemones, nothing to do other than dress the soil with bone meal in the spring. After three to four years, it will be possible to dig up the Anemones in the dormant season - summer is best, after the foliage has died completely down - and carefully divide the groups of tubers you now have!

## Features

- • An early and long-flowering iris with a good scent, plant it at the front of the border or in a pot for inside or out. Will display deep velvety-blue flowers, with a darker colour on the falls and a clear yellow line, with a white flecked tongue.
- • Plant bulbs in well dug soil about 5-7cm deep and approx 15cm apart. Soak the tubers in water for twenty-four hours before planting. It is not always easy to see which is top and bottom of the knobbly tubers. A little hint! - If in doubt, then plant them on their side. It works.
- • After planting, there is little to do other than await your display. For the first few years in permanent plantings of Anemones, nothing to do other than dress the soil with bone meal in the spring.
