I am a bit of a traditionalist and so thought that lighting the dumpy three wick candles we have on our dining room table, those in wall sconces, pillar candles and lantern lights as well as modern tea lights and votive candles could be lit easily, using a taper, rather than the common gas lighter used these days. Nostalgia played upon my thoughts it seems as these long thin candles do exactly what is expected of them but drip candle-wax from room to room as you light each Candle. They blow out easily in the wind or even a slight breeze. As a reminder of the past they are still wonderful and if you like these things, as I do, then they are well worth a purchase. It you do not then go to your pound shop and buy a pack of six lighters for £1.00. There will be no dribbled wax on your floors there will be little worry about the wind unless you wish to barbecue in the highlands of Scotland. Apparently the scything wind helps with cooking pork and lamb.
